IPA Systems Ltd of Cheltenham have installed a 40+ Edit.WORKS editorial
system at the Jersey Evening Post. The system includes 23 Reporters text

make-up stations. The order also includes View.WORKS advertisement/editorial
page status tracking software, and wire service modules. Web.WORKS is
also included in the order, which prioritises stories for the web and
updates the Jersey Evening Post site automatically.
The Jersey Evening Post is an evening newspaper published Monday to
Saturday inclusive. The Jersey Evening Post produces a minimum of 48

system went live in the middle of February 2002, after a 4 week install
time from installation of servers through to full training and commissioning

installed. Mr Jerry Ramsden, Managing Director of the Jersey Evening
Post said, "We chose Edit.WORKS from IPA as we felt the system was very
cost effective, flexible and could be adapted very easily to our present
workflow." Mr Trevor Kibble, Chief Executive of IPA Systems Ltd said

our second system to be installed in the Channel Islands. IPA in the

from the Orkneys in Scotland to Guernsey and Jersey in the Channel Islands."
Edit.WORKS is a powerful and flexible system ideally suited to both
newspaper and magazine publishers. Comprising an advanced text editor
and Quark Xtensions running on Macintosh and PC workstations.
