Order taken for Business Intelligence solution at Newsquest (North East) Limited

Newsquest (North East) Limited, publishers of the Northern Echo in Darlington has placed an order for a Business Intelligence (BI) solution using the market leading Cognos Powerplay Web Enterprise Server.

IPA Systems Ltd. in partnership with Bi-Inform Ltd. will provide a solution a llowing Newsquest (North East) Ltd. to leverage valuable information about their business from the many disparate data sources held within their organisation. As part of the lead up to the order being placed, a proof of concept model was created using Newsquest’s own data from their IPA Sales.WORKS advertising system.

PowerPlay will unlock information previously held in inaccessible data sources or within departments own paper records without having to have any specialist knowledge of where the data came from or how it is obtained. The new system will enable key personnel within the company to access the information that is right for them via a web browser or client software, explore it in their own terms and use it to make better business decisions within the context of their day-to-day activities.
