Newsquest (North East) Limited go live with IPA Canvass.WORKS

Newsquest (North East) Limited, publishers of the Northern Echo in Darlington have gone into live production with CanvassWORKS, IPA’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. Initially deploying 25 seats in the advertising department used in conjunction with the SalesWORKS advert booking system. CanvassWORKS replaces a manual record card system and paper processes allowing advertising staff to concentrate on selling with key customer information at their fingertips.

CanvassWORKS provides seamless integration to the advert booking system, business intelligence data for booking history and accounts system for accurate, timely information. In addition, full history of previous and future contacts, profile information on customers and year on year comparisons of advertising placed gives the sales representative a wealth of knowledge about the customer. CanvassWORKS also records sales activity, monitoring the number of calls, strike rate and revenue generated from sales as well as an intuitive diary and campaign manager to help organise sales activities.

Newsquest North East and IPA have worked closely on the development and commissioning of the product. This has resulted in a very smooth deployment of the system readily adopted by the users. This latest success from IPA follows on from the implementation of Business Intelligence earlier this year as well as the recent server and database upgrade. IPA now look forward to working with Newsquest North East on the installation of Neptune, IPA’s cross platform production workflow system.
