The Sunday Tribune, Dublin upgrade and expand IPA SalesWORKS System
The Sunday Tribune, Dublin has placed an order with IPA Systems
Ltd for the upgrade of their IPA SalesWORKS system to version three.
Apart from the many enhancements version 3 has to offer, such as new
multi preview text editor, advanced booking calendar, the inclusion
of electronic customer record cards, direct emailing of proofs, reports
from the desktop and order confirmations etc. The Sunday Tribune has
also added the Sales Performance module and Analysis/Budgeting Suite.
The Sales Performance module will enable the system to
be used for the following tasks:
- Set-up targets for salespeople or teams based on
various criteria and store as profiles.
- Sales persons can check progress towards personal
targets.
- Managers can select individuals or teams and create
reports showing progress towards target.
- Calculate commission payments.
- Include allowances/credits in the calculations.
Analysis & Budgeting Suite consists
of a combination of reports and applications providing categorised volume,
yield and discount figures for given weeks, financial periods or year
to date compared with last years figures, with the ability to filter
by publication or publication groups so that business performance can
be accurately measured based on data both current and historic. Actual
revenue, volume and yields are compared against budgeted targets. These
targets can be set individually for each category, publication for each
week in the financial year. The budget can be defined as a percentage
increase or decrease on last year's figures or calculated back to a
percentage from a figure that is input.
These two SalesWORKS enhancements will provide "real time" information
to measure the performance of the advertising department while providing
the financial knowledge required to make informed decisions. The combination
of the two applications has the potential to save many hours of administration
work and give top level down reports on the advertising business.
