Newsquest (York) install PrintExpress PDF Workflow System on Windows

IPA Systems Ltd have secured
an order for a PrintExpress PDF Workflow system at Newsquest (York)
Ltd.
Due for installation during March, the PrintExpress system replaces
the existing conventional OPI/RIP production system.
PrintExpress has been used at Newsquest
(York) Ltd for a number of years to receive and output bitmap pages
for The Northern Echo, produced at Newsquest North East in Darlington,
which is printed on the York press.
York and Darlington share common imagesetter's accessed through an 8-port
Laserplex.
The installation of PrintExpress will give Newsquest York and its contract
print customers many benefits in receiving, processing and re-distribution
of paired PDF pages, as well as improvements in load levelling across
the output system.
The addition of a Web Soft Proofing system means internal and external
users can have access to soft proofs during the production process.
Newsquest (York) Ltd is part of the Newsquest Media Group and has been
a long time customer of IPA Systems Ltd.
